New Price! Incredible Assets, Uncommon Improvements, Plentiful Wildlife and Endless Recreational Opportunities are all fair ways to describe this Beautiful and Tranquil property that fronts Hatchet Creek in central Alabama. Located just northwest of the small town of Rockford, the 371 acres can be easily reached from numerous cities and towns in the region. The rolling terrain is not only striking but also covered with high value timber consisting of 244 acres of Loblolly Pine Timber planted in 1989, 50 acres of Loblolly Pine planted in 2011 and draws and valleys full of Mature Oaks and various other species of hardwoods. Small, clear water streams flow through the valleys on a course towards Hatchet Creek. There are several potential pond sites on the property. An excellent road system winds from the county road frontage all the way across the property to the banks of Hatchet Creek. Underground Power lines follow the main interior road all the way to the edge of Hatchet Creek. A campsite, on a high brow that overlooks the creek, has a Travel Trailer with well water and in ground septic system. The 2012 model, 40 foot, 2BR/ 1 BA, Innsbruck Travel Trailer and a majority interest in +/-20 acres of adjacent private property are included with the 371 acres.
Hatchet Creek is one of the southernmost White Water creeks in the Southeast. The creeks headwaters originate in the Talladega National Forest. Hatchet Creek winds through some of the most secluded territory in central Alabama before emptying into Lake Mitchell on the Coosa River. It is one of the longest untamed and unspoiled creeks in this water rich region of Alabama. Canoe and Kayak enthusiasts love to float the creek on trips ranging from a half day up to three days. The 371 acres has over a half mile of frontage on spectacular Hatchet Creek!
The Whitetail Deer and Wild Turkey populations are very good in this area. I even flushed a covey of wild Quail while walking a portion of the property. Fishermen catch Redeye Bass, Spotted Bass, Bluegill, Walleye and various other species from the banks of the creek and from their canoe or kayak while floating the creek. The 30,000 plus acre Coosa Wildlife Management Area is less than 5 miles to the west of the 371 acres. This unusual offering is definitely worth a serious look! Contact us for much more information.
