Privacy Compound – This 56 acre tract of Lake Front Timberland in Alabama is bordered by only woods and water. The western boundary borders 2100 feet of the William B. Bankhead National Forest. The northern, eastern and southern boundaries total 5560 feet of Lake Front on pristine Lewis Smith Lake. Electricity is already on the property and road access onto and through the property runs through the forest. Hunt deer in the winter and turkey in the spring. Fish year round and enjoy boating on one of the most beautiful lakes in the Southeast.
Smith Lake has 550 miles of shoreline spanning three counties in North Central Alabama. The lake is 300 feet deep in places and boasts a variety of freshwater fish species, including the huge hybrid striped bass. You can fish (and eat the fish daily if you want) from the fresh clean water of Smith Lake. This water doesn’t come from a river system, which are often muddy and polluted. The Sipsey Fork watershed filling Smith Lake is captured mostly in secluded timber lands with much of it coming from the Sipsey Wilderness...a 26,000 acre federally protected wilderness area. The water has a beautiful emerald green color and is very clear. The waters depth, clarity and cleanliness are the reasons many say that Smith Lake is one of the top three cleanest lakes in the Nation. Water analysis from Smith Lake can be verified on the USGS government web site under the Sipaey Fork watershed.
So if you are looking for a pristine forest and water compound for your own personal hideaway then you must see this property. Directions to the property can be found by visiting us at our web site at (blog here).
