3.5 ac. & cabin on Hatchett Creek, Coosa County. GREAT WEEKEND RETREAT FOR FISHING, HUNTING & RELAXING!! This property is located directly on the incredible Hatchett Creek, about 10 miles from Rockford, and about 50 miles from Birmingham. The rustic cabin sits on a bluff overlooking the cold, beautiful colored Hatchett Creek, which is filled with boulders, shoals, whitewater and great fishing areas. Right from the shore you can catch Kentucky redeye bass, Coosa redeye bass, largemouth, walleye, drum, yellow catfish and channel catfish. The owner has caught 40 or so yellow cats weighing between 20 and 45 pounds!
The cabin is rustic, offers a tremendous water view, and holds lots of potential. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bath, den area, nice kitchen and a loft. Sitting on the screened porch overlooking the Hatchett, watching the kayakers and canoers floating by, the "feel" is that of the mountains of North Carolina. The sound of the creek waters rushing over the shoals is something special. Hatchett Creek frontage is hard to come by.
Power and telephone service are available. A 200 foot deep drilled well supplies the water.
For hunters, this area is loaded with deer and turkey, and additional adjoining and nearby creek frontage acreage are available - see the 3 other Coosa County Hatchett Creek properties on this website.
